The Boeung Trabek Child Development Project (2025–2028) is a transformative initiative designed to break the cycle of poverty for vulnerable children living in informal settlements along the Boeung Trabek canal. Facing severe gaps in early childhood education, nutrition, and safe caregiving, these children lack the foundational support needed for healthy development. At the heart of our intervention is the Green Umbrella Child House, a comprehensive care and learning hub serving children aged 0 to 11. Through this center, we provide age-appropriate educational support—including whole-day care for toddlers (ages 2–4), school readiness classes for five-year-olds, public school enrollment campaigns, and after-school supplementary learning for early primary students (G1–G3). This is coupled with infant nutrition programs and regular health monitoring to ensure every child has the opportunity to learn, survive, and grow with dignity. Going beyond direct childcare, the project builds long-term family and community resilience. We actively engage caregivers through targeted training in positive parenting and basic health, while the provision of reliable childcare allows parents to pursue economic opportunities. By strengthening local systems and building the capacity of the Commune Council for Women and Children (CCWC) in case management, we are creating a nurturing ecosystem where vulnerable families can build brighter futures.

The IDCE project is a vital initiative aimed at bridging the digital divide for over 64,000 students, teachers, and parents across public schools in Phnom Penh, Kandal, and Kampong Thom. Recognizing that many children lack access to modern technology, this project establishes inclusive digital learning spaces by constructing and renovating ICT labs and digital libraries equipped with modern PCs and tablets. In partnership with Teach For Cambodia, we are embedding comprehensive curriculums in digital literacy, financial literacy, and online safety directly into the school system for students in grades 4 through 12. By combining infrastructure upgrades with targeted curriculum rollouts, we ensure marginalized youth and children with disabilities gain the critical, analytical, and technical competencies required for future employability. Beyond physical infrastructure, the project transforms the broader educational ecosystem. We actively train teachers, librarians, and Teach For Cambodia Fellows to deliver child-friendly ICT instruction, while engaging parents through School Support Committees to better understand digital risks. Supported by MoEYS, student-led digital clubs and community-wide safety campaigns work together to safeguard youth against rising online risks and equip the next generation as talented global citizens.

he IDEAL project is a transformative initiative designed to tackle the severe skills mismatch and profound pandemic-related learning losses facing Cambodia's youth. Operating across 12 state schools in Phnom Penh and Kandal Province, the project directly empowers 8,000 students by seamlessly integrating 21st-century digital competencies into their everyday learning. To overcome outdated teaching methods, IDEAL establishes cutting-edge learning environments, including fully equipped 21st Century Libraries, modern ICT labs, and internet-connected classrooms. By partnering with global innovators to localize platforms like Everybody Counts, We Think Digital, and Certiport, we deliver dynamic, targeted curriculums. This ensures students from primary through upper secondary levels acquire foundational literacy alongside internationally certified technical skills. Implemented by KAPE, the project places dedicated mentors directly into schools to build the capacity of teachers and librarians in digital pedagogy. Simultaneously, we engage the community through project work fairs and parental awareness campaigns. By amplifying student voices through peer-led online safety advisory groups and collaborating with MoEYS, IDEAL builds a resilient framework that prepares all learners to thrive safely in a digital society.

he HER AIM project is dedicated to safeguarding the health, education, and dignity of adolescent girls in Kampot province. In many local schools, inadequate water and sanitation (WASH) infrastructure and a severe lack of menstrual hygiene resources force girls to miss classes, heavily compromising their academic futures and overall well-being. To combat this, the project is constructing and renovating 40 gender-friendly toilets, complete with incinerators and year-round water sources, alongside dedicated school health rooms. We pair these vital facility upgrades with the distribution of over 28,000 sustainable, biodegradable menstrual pouches, directly empowering over 2,200 girls to manage their menstruation safely and confidently without pausing their education. Beyond physical upgrades, HER AIM works to dismantle deep-seated cultural stigmas and social prejudices. Implemented by RHAC, the initiative trains teachers to deliver targeted Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) and Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE). Crucially, we actively engage boys, male educators, and parents in inclusive school health committees to foster a highly supportive, stigma-free environment where adolescent girls can thrive academically and personally.

The DYNAMIC project is a transformative initiative aimed at unlocking the economic potential of Cambodian youth and revolutionizing the local agricultural value chain across Phnom Penh, Battambang, Prey Veng, and Tbong Khmum. Despite abundant agricultural resources and a strong desire among young people to start businesses, a lack of confidence and fear of failure often deter them from pursuing entrepreneurship. Furthermore, while domestic demand for processed agricultural products—such as packaged rice, fruit juices, and snacks—is rapidly increasing, Cambodia still primarily exports raw materials, resulting in low productivity and missed economic opportunities. To bridge this gap, the DYNAMIC project empowers young agri-preneurs to establish innovative micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) focused on high-value agro-food processing and distribution. By providing comprehensive entrepreneurship education, targeted motivation-building activities, and vital startup capital, the project equips youth to transform raw agricultural potential into thriving, sustainable businesses. Aligned with Cambodia's National Youth Development Policy, key agricultural master plans, and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 1, 2, 4, and 8), the initiative takes a holistic approach to inclusive rural development. Ultimately, the DYNAMIC project not only fosters a resilient, risk-taking entrepreneurial spirit among the youth but also creates decent employment opportunities, increases agricultural incomes, and drives sustainable poverty reduction across the targeted provinces.

Easy to Learn (E2L) Phase III is a three-year education project working with 17 primary schools in Chhloung District, Kratie Province. The project aims to improve children’s learning outcomes by strengthening the quality of primary education, with a particular focus on early-grade reading and mathematics. It seeks to create learning environments where children can build strong foundational skills and receive the support they need to learn and progress. Aligned with SDG 4: Quality Education and Cambodia’s national priorities for human capital development and quality education, the project promotes more inclusive and equitable learning. It strengthens teachers’ professional capacity, improves safe and child-friendly learning environments, expands access to digital and supplementary learning resources, and provides targeted assistance for children who need additional support. Building on the foundations and lessons of previous E2L phases, Phase III takes the project a step further by focusing more strongly on how these investments translate into lasting improvements in learning. In practice, the project brings together teacher mentoring, classroom observation, student learning monitoring, and targeted learning support. Activities such as Peer Tutoring, Reading Champion, support from Cham Learning Assistants, and individualized assistance for vulnerable students help ensure that children who need extra support are not left behind. At the same time, the project strengthens school-based management and works closely with education authorities to support sustainable improvements in teaching and learning. By working through Cambodia’s existing education systems and aligning with Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport initiatives, including the Primary Learning Program (PLP), E2L Phase III aims to embed effective practices within schools, communities, and government systems. In this way, the project seeks not only to improve learning in the 17 target schools, but also to contribute to stronger and more sustainable primary education systems.
