Improving Digital Competency in Education

The IDCE project is a vital initiative aimed at bridging the digital divide for over 64,000 students, teachers, and parents across public schools in Phnom Penh, Kandal, and Kampong Thom. Recognizing that many children lack access to modern technology, this project establishes inclusive digital learning spaces by constructing and renovating ICT labs and digital libraries equipped with modern PCs and tablets.

In partnership with Teach For Cambodia, we are embedding comprehensive curriculums in digital literacy, financial literacy, and online safety directly into the school system for students in grades 4 through 12. By combining infrastructure upgrades with targeted curriculum rollouts, we ensure marginalized youth and children with disabilities gain the critical, analytical, and technical competencies required for future employability.

Beyond physical infrastructure, the project transforms the broader educational ecosystem. We actively train teachers, librarians, and Teach For Cambodia Fellows to deliver child-friendly ICT instruction, while engaging parents through School Support Committees to better understand digital risks. Supported by MoEYS, student-led digital clubs and community-wide safety campaigns work together to safeguard youth against rising online risks and equip the next generation as talented global citizens.
