PHNOM PENH — The Bandos DYNAMIC Startup (BDS) Competition announced its final five winning teams on December 19, marking the successful culmination of the DYNAMIC project (Developing Youth and Nurturing Agripreneurship for Market Impact and Community Growth).
The BDS Competition, implemented by Wonders International and the National Incubation Center of Cambodia (NICC), co-implemented by ChorogUsan for Children, and funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), served as the grand finale of the DYNAMIC project. The initiative aims to strengthen entrepreneurial skills among Cambodian youth, with a strong focus on agripreneurship.
Through a series of programs—including the DYNAMIC Leadership Course, Entreventure Talk, Agribusiness Builder, agripreneur bootcamps at provincial universities, and the nationwide Entrepreneur Spark—the project guided young entrepreneurs through a comprehensive development journey. This pathway culminated in support for micro and small enterprises (MSEs) and the final startup competition.
From November 3 to 22, startup teams applied across two stages: Ideation and Minimum Viable Product (MVP) Development. A total of 73 teams submitted applications, of which 40 were shortlisted through document screening. Twenty teams advanced to the next stage, and 18 received 15 days of intensive mentoring before pitching at the final round on December 19.
Agripreneurship featured prominently, with 11 of the 18 finalist teams focusing on agricultural ventures. The five winning teams were announced as SustainAble Advisory, La Cashew, AGRO Nature, TheBoxes, and Khmer Dam Khmer Chhnai.
The winning teams will now participate in a six-month incubation program supported by NICC and Wonders International. The program aims to enhance business maturity, strengthen entrepreneurial capacity, and expand support mechanisms for agripreneurship nationwide. By integrating the BDS Competition into Cambodia’s broader entrepreneurial ecosystem, the DYNAMIC project contributes to advancing innovation, sustainability, and youth-led economic growth within the country’s agriculture sector.
