Improving Digital Education for All Learners

he IDEAL project is a transformative initiative designed to tackle the severe skills mismatch and profound pandemic-related learning losses facing Cambodia's youth. Operating across 12 state schools in Phnom Penh and Kandal Province, the project directly empowers 8,000 students by seamlessly integrating 21st-century digital competencies into their everyday learning.

To overcome outdated teaching methods, IDEAL establishes cutting-edge learning environments, including fully equipped 21st Century Libraries, modern ICT labs, and internet-connected classrooms. By partnering with global innovators to localize platforms like Everybody Counts, We Think Digital, and Certiport, we deliver dynamic, targeted curriculums. This ensures students from primary through upper secondary levels acquire foundational literacy alongside internationally certified technical skills.

Implemented by KAPE, the project places dedicated mentors directly into schools to build the capacity of teachers and librarians in digital pedagogy. Simultaneously, we engage the community through project work fairs and parental awareness campaigns. By amplifying student voices through peer-led online safety advisory groups and collaborating with MoEYS, IDEAL builds a resilient framework that prepares all learners to thrive safely in a digital society.
